This status is for foreigners who have lived in Poland legally and continuously for a long time and meet additional conditions such as stable income, insurance, housing and Polish language knowledge.

Residence history

The basic rule is 5 years of legal and continuous stay, but some periods may be counted partially or excluded.

The office checks income, insurance, accommodation and whether the applicant can support themselves in Poland.

Polish language

Applicants usually need an official document confirming Polish language knowledge in an accepted form.

Documents

The package usually includes the application form, passport, photos, payment confirmation, documents proving continuous stay, income, insurance, accommodation and language knowledge. The office may ask for additional explanations if the residence history is complex.
